Functions of Contenido 4.8

The display of user and group privileges has been extended to include “Group affiliation”.

Users who are currently using the system are displayed on the "my contenido" page.

System administrators are displayed on the "my contenido" page.

The functions for creating a new category have been revised:

  • Create a category using a layer
  • Direct definition of aliases is possible
  • Category can be placed online/offline
  • Category can be protected / not protected
  • Definition of the category as a tree or as a subcategory of an already existing category

The following are integrated as standard (can be deselected in the new Installer):

  • Linkchecker
  • Content Allocation
  • Workflow

Statistics, for the purposes of an overview, can be collapsed and expanded by category.

Content/articles: Forwarding can be recognized by the article symbol.

Content/articles: Articles can be searched for. The searches can be named and stored.

Content / file management: Automatic screen preview when a mouseover is done.

Confirmation and message popup is now displayed directly as a layer.

Not only are the values of system variables/ client variables editable, but so too are type and name.

Allocation of users to groups for backend and frontend groups with a new interface and simplified functionality

New classes:

  • /contenido/classes/Debug/ (objects for debugging)
  • /contenido/classes/Contenido_Category/ (objects for the handling of categories, readonly, therefore without save method)
  • /contenido/classes/Contenido_FrontendNavigation/ (objects for reproducing a frontend navigation and a breadcrumb navigation based on Contenido_Category objects)
  • /contenido/classes/UrlBuilder/ (objects for building URLs arranged in any way)

On the Login page, users of the system can have their password sent to them.

In language synchronization, it is now possible to copy all subcategories in addition to individual categories.
